In the beginning, God created everything good, and man lived under the rule of God. The fall of man left people living in sins. Education and laws are ineffective in setting people free from the bondage of sins. Only the salvation of Jesus Christ can set you free. Some elders of the Ephesian church had become false teachers. Paul drew up a list of qualities required to be an elder or deacon. His intention was that in applying the list this would hopefully screen out potential false teachers and lift up the quality of elders and deacons. Pastor John Ting preaches from 1 Timothy 3:1-13.

Is it by chance that you live in this world? No. Bible tells us clearly that God created the world and created man in His image so that we could have relationship with Him. 你活在这世上是偶然的吗？不是的，圣经清楚的告诉我们神创造了一切，也按自己的形象造人，让我们能与祂建立关系。

1 Timothy 2 shows us what God wants of His people - of men and women, as a corrective of behaviors that have resulted from false teachings. Pastor Chris Chia preaches.

God cut off the flowing of the Jordan river  and let the Israelites cross the river on dry land. But how would the future generation know about the acts of God? Though Rahab was a prostitute, she trusted in the Lord when she heard of the name and acts of Yaweh. Her belief brought her life, and God even made her the ancestress of King David and Jesus. 虽然喇合是妓女，但是，当她听到神的名，就愿意信靠神，以致她得到生命，而且神也让她成为以色列的君王大卫和耶稣的祖先。

We live in a world where there are no absolutes. What's right and wrong? What's bad and good? It does not seem to matter until we personally face the repercussions of the bad. Pastor Christopher Chia preaches on 1 Timothy 1 which addresses the need to discern between right and wrong.

God sent his Son who was born through unlikely circumstances like a dubious lineage and a virgin birth to accomplish his promised salvation for unworthy sinners. If God has achieved this unlikely salvation, how can we say he cannot or will not save us or others? Brother Tan Sern Khoon preaches from Matthew 1.
