Why Did Jesus Teach in Parables

Jesus taught in parables to sift out and separate sincere seekers from those who were not sincere nor true seekers. The parable of the sower helped the disciples to understand why the responses to Jesus and his message were so mixed. The parable was also a call to be good soil.
